How the Tiny Gifts catalog is kept current

What gets updated, how often, and what to do when a figure here disagrees with the checkout.

The catalog was last updated on September 14, 2026. That date covers the prices and the availability of every present on the site, and it is the only place where it is printed: a date under every card becomes wallpaper and stops being read.

What we update, and when

Prices and availability go through on a schedule. A present that is no longer available comes off the site at the next build rather than sitting there with a figure nobody can buy at, and one that comes back returns the same way.

The rest changes far less often and is read off our own product data rather than retyped: the pack count, the widest measurement, the weight, the color as the maker lists it. Where the data has no value for a field, the card simply has no line for it, because an invented line is worse than a short list.

What we work out ourselves

Two figures on every card are ours rather than the maker's. The price per piece is the price of the pack divided by the count, and it is the number that decides between two boxes that look identical. And the shelf a present stands on is decided from what the thing is rather than from the words on its packaging, because a package calls itself six things at once.

When the two disagree

The price at the checkout is the one that counts. Between updates a figure here can go stale, and if it does, the checkout wins. That is the rule, and it is in the terms as well.

Three sources do the work on this site, and all three are linked here in full. Everything the pages say about small pieces and young children, or about the battery behind a lid, is written under them rather than out of our own heads.

Where this comes from

Small parts for toys and children's products: business guidance · U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Children's products intended for use by children under three that present a choking, aspiration or ingestion hazard because of small parts are banned hazardous substances. A small part is any object that fits, without compressing and in any orientation, entirely into a test cylinder that approximates the size of the fully expanded throat of a child under three. A separate rule requires certain articles that are or contain small parts, balloons, small balls or marbles to be labeled warning against buying them for children under a stated age. Button cell and coin battery: business guidance · U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Reese's Law, enacted in 2022, sets federal requirements for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. A compartment holding a replaceable button cell or coin battery has to be secured so that it takes a tool, or at least two independent and simultaneous hand movements, to open. The batteries need child-resistant packaging, and warnings have to appear on the product packaging, on the product itself where that is practicable, and in the instructions. Read September 9, 2026.
Choking prevention · American Academy of Pediatrics (HealthyChildren.org). Most children who die from choking are under five, and two thirds of them are babies under a year old. The household objects the guidance names are coins, marbles, toys with small parts, small balls, pen and marker caps and small button-type batteries, and it asks parents to check under furniture and between cushions for them. Balloons are named as a risk up to the age of eight. Read September 9, 2026.
Disclosure of material connections · U.S. Federal Trade Commission, 16 CFR 255.5. A connection between an endorser and the seller that a reader would not reasonably expect, and that might affect the weight given to the endorsement, has to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. The disclosure does not have to set out the whole arrangement, but it has to reveal the nature of the connection well enough for a reader to judge what it is worth. Read September 9, 2026.
