Mini wedding favors

A wedding favor is the strictest brief on the site: one per guest, identical, small enough to sit at a place setting without crowding a plate, and light enough that somebody carries it home rather than leaving it on the table. Candle tins and small boxed pieces meet all four, and that is why they dominate this page. Anything taller than a wine glass fails the third, and anything fragile fails the fourth on the way home in a coat pocket.

The arithmetic is fixed before the choosing starts, and it is worth doing in the right order: guests, then budget per guest, then the piece. Between one and four dollars a head is where most of this page sits, and the difference between the ends of that range is mostly whether the piece arrives boxed. If it does not, a hundred small bags and a hundred tags are an evening of work, and that evening is the week before a wedding.
